Human Resources drives the people dimension of Capital Group’s business strategy. Technology plays a vital role in executing against that strategy. Reporting to the Senior Manager of HR Analytics & Technology, the HR Technology Business Partner (based in Irvine) is the central point of contact for Human Resources working with IT to drive our technology roadmap, ensuring we have the right technology, resources, and prioritization to execute against our technology strategy. This role works across HR to understand how each function uses technology and what could make them more efficient, to connect needs from the different functional areas into an overall technology prioritization process, to manage the full inventory of large to small scale HR IT projects, and participates in and/or leads large scale technology projects. Technology Direction: Partners with HR functions to define and document HR business capabilities, our maturity and technology needs to achieve effective delivery of HR services. • Manages HR’s progress against HR’s Technology Strategy and alignment to HR Strategy • Guides strategic technology recommendations across functions through understanding SuccessFactors roadmap and other emerging technology capabilities • Partners with IT to showcase CG & industry technology trends for HR functional groups Technology Governance: Collaborate with the Senior Manager of HR Technology to manage current and future FY planning, develop business case/ proposals. • Monitors HR technology efforts to ensure effective delivery and progress toward deliverables. • Builds strong internal relationships with key HR and IT leaders to define and understand strategic and tactical HR Technology goals and objectives. • Stays abreast of shifting needs within each business group and helps prioritize where technology can be leveraged to make HR more effective in its support of the business. • Participates in and/or leads HR’s governance groups including HR’s Technology Enablement Committee, Steering Committees, etc. Technology Management: Develops communication in HR on Technology direction and progress o Mentors functional Business Analysts on IT’s engagement model. Technology Project Management: Participates in HR technical projects through membership in steering committees, acting as a SME on functional initiatives, etc. • Acts as a functional project manager on medium- to large-scale technology projects, including new implementations, process improvements and enhancements. • Initiates and leads special projects/analyses to identify trends, assess impacts, analyze alternatives and make recommendations. Qualifications: • 7+ years of Human Resources, Human Resources consulting, IT or project management experience • Strong in-depth knowledge of HR systems and processes along with industry best practices • Strong communication, analytical, project management, facilitation and presentation skills • SuccessFactors and/or SAP experience is a plus • Bachelor’s degree required (Business or Human Resources field preferred) Desired Skills: • Strong leadership and influence skills; ability to translate strategy into action through the leadership and engagement of multiple stakeholders. • Ability to develop and present information and concepts to all levels in a simplified manner. • Ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with cross-functional HR leaders, business leaders and employees • Ability to think strategically and execute at the tactical level. • Strong project management and change management skills; ability to run and lead multiple projects at the same time. • Strong PC skills such as Word and Outlook and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, etc.) required. • Ability to quickly learn concepts and understand process configuration in a system. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy; ability to do root cause analysis to guide decisions and action plans where limited foundational/framework exists.
